About the Role
DoorDash's marketing product operations team acts as the link between the Retention Marketing organization and the tools, systems, and data that support it. As an Associate Manager on CRM Automation, you will be responsible for developing AI-powered automation to help Campaign Operators build, edit, QA, and monitor CRM campaigns more efficiently across all audiences. You will collaborate with Campaign Operators to identify manual processes that slow them down and work with the Martech team to design, implement, and scale internal AI-enabled tools and workflows to streamline these processes. This is a highly cross-functional role for individuals who want to own CRM automation from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the CRM automation roadmap, utilizing DoorDash's internal AI tools to enhance the efficiency of Campaign Operators in building, editing, QA, and monitoring campaigns.
- Identify manual steps in campaign build and edit workflows and design AI-assisted automations to replace them.
- Apply AI to campaign QA and ongoing monitoring to ensure early detection and quick surfacing of issues across all audiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Campaign Operators, Marketing, Martech, and Product teams to define requirements and prioritize automation efforts.
- Track and report on adoption rates, time savings, and campaign error rates to demonstrate the impact of automation initiatives.
- Develop documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials to support Campaign Operators in confidently adopting new tools and workflows.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, CRM marketing, program management, or a similar operational role within a technology company.
- Hands-on experience building, editing, or operating CRM campaigns using marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, or Responsys.
- Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) and a proven ability to apply them to automate repetitive tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects, including defining milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Comfort using data to track adoption and efficiency metrics and derive insights; basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical automation concepts in clear language for campaign operators.
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality and the ability to proactively identify potential issues.
