About the Role
As a Data Engineer in our Data & Analytics team, you will support our data strategies by developing data-driven applications and contributing to various projects. Our team empowers clients for sustainable growth by facilitating the transition from intuitive to objective decision-making through reliable data collection, robust data infrastructure, and effective data initiatives. We believe in the 'Data Decade' and are looking for talented individuals to transform raw data into insights, products, and impactful solutions using scalable ML/AI infrastructures and thorough analysis.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality data warehouses, cloud infrastructures, and AI workflows.
- Integrate data from various systems into flexible and consistent representations.
- Investigate and evaluate the long-term impact of AI use cases and their implementation.
- Ensure all employees and IT systems have easy access to data across different frontends and interfaces.
- Work within an agile software development process in close cooperation with Analytics, Product Development, and Software Development teams.
- Collaborate in a great cross-functional team environment to influence the business.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in data and algorithms, with a passion for solving complex business problems through scalable data products.
- Knowledge of version control systems, web technologies, software, best practices in Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering, and database system functionalities.
- Solid experience with SQL, Python, and dbt.
- Experience with machine learning and/or AI is advantageous.
- Optional: Ability to translate data science into business value.
- Willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills in German and English (native or near-native level).
- A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
