About the Role
Pier 4 is seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team and enhance the appearance, quality, and value of our residential communities. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact daily by contributing to the upkeep and revitalization of properties.
Responsibilities
- Complete interior and exterior painting projects across residential properties, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, patching, cleaning, and removing old paint.
- Apply paints, primers, and protective coatings to preserve building surfaces and safeguard against damage.
- Perform general aesthetic maintenance and touch-ups to support property condition and curb appeal.
- Collaborate with the Renovations Lead to prioritize work and address property needs.
- Manage painting materials, equipment, and inventory efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of materials.
- Be available for on-call duties, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience.
- Commercial painting experience is required.
- Experience with exterior building painting, balcony painting, line painting, and low-rise residential properties.
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and related equipment safely.
- Eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Valid Ontario Class G Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Knowledge of Ontario Residential Tenancies legislation and landlord/tenant responsibilities is considered an asset.

Skills
- Strong painting skills with experience preparing, repairing, and finishing a variety of surfaces.
- Knowledge of paints, primers, coatings, and common painting tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to safely work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices and the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
