About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Facilities Manager to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community dedicated to providing older adults with the best possible living experience, offering a lifestyle that meets their needs and interests.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules for employees within the maintenance and grounds departments.
- Approve timecards for payroll for employees within the maintenance and grounds departments.
- Supervise staff within the maintenance department including providing daily coaching, maintaining regular communication, and completing annual/probationary reviews.
- Perform routine inspections of personnel to ensure that required job duties are being performed.
- Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of maintenance personnel.
- Assist in development of the budget as needed and adhere to the departmental budget.
- Serve on maintenance committees as appropriate and provide written/oral reports of services and activities as required.
Requirements
- Must have two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance related position.
- Must have five (5) years' experience in a healthcare setting.
- Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of maintenance.
- Must have First Aid/CPR certification.
- Flexibility to respond to emergencies at any time is required.
