About the Role
Borough Kitchen is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Temporary Christmas Sales Associates for its Hampstead team during the festive season. The ideal candidates will share a passion for food and cooking, enjoy customer interaction, and strive to provide an exceptional shopping experience. This role is crucial during our busiest period, requiring flexibility, reliability, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer experience through friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
- Welcome customers, understand their needs, and confidently recommend suitable products.
- Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Replenish stock and maintain a well-presented, organised shop floor.
- Support the team with merchandising, displays, and store standards.
- Process purchases, arrange deliveries, and assist with after-sales enquiries.
- Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products, special orders, and online shop items.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations, especially during busy periods.
Requirements
- Must be available to work during the Christmas trading period, including weekends leading up to Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Boxing Day.
- Flexibility to work additional shifts during peak trading periods is highly desirable.
- Weekend and bank holiday availability is essential.
- Genuine passion for food, cooking, and entertaining.
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and as part of a team.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
