About the Role
Join nebenan.de, Germany's largest neighborhood platform, and grow into the world of advertising technology. You will work with our AdStack, focusing on Ad Servers, Header Bidding, and App Monetization, contributing to a product with real added value for the community.
Responsibilities
- Work with our AdStack around Google Ad Manager 360 and Prebid (client- & server-side) in both web and app environments.
- Perform monitoring and debugging in Ad Serving, independently investigating delivery issues.
- Act as the point of contact for incorrect ad delivery and collaborate with the team to find solutions.
- Support the technical onboarding of new SSPs, Demand Partners, and PMP Deals.
- Analyze Ad Performance data (eCPMs, Fill Rates, Viewability) and derive concrete optimization suggestions.
- Participate in AdTech projects from preparation to go-live, taking on own sub-projects with increasing experience.
- Test new formats, tools, and technologies, such as in In-App Monetization, cookieless targeting (e.g., ID Solutions), or Ad Verification.
- Support the maintenance of our consent setups (GDPR, TCF v2.3, Sourcepoint/Didomi) and learn the regulatory basics.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Data, and Development teams, becoming the technical interface between them over time.
- Support the AdOps team in daily business as needed.
Requirements
- Initial professional experience in AdTech, Yield Management, AdOps, or Programmatic.
- Strong technical affinity: understand how a browser loads a page, the basis of app functionality, and can read HTML and JavaScript.
- First experience with debugging tools (Browser DevTools, Charles, Proxyman) is a strong plus.
- Experience working with an Ad Server, ideally Google Ad Manager, is a plus but not a mandatory requirement; training will be provided.
- Interest in monetizing native apps (iOS and Android) and the technical differences compared to the web environment.
- Enjoy working with numbers and have a structured, careful working style, even when managing multiple topics concurrently.
- Eagerness to continuously learn new things and the desire to delve deeply into complex technical topics.
- Proactively approach colleagues and partners, and articulate technical concepts understandably.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
