About the Role
Borough Kitchen is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Temporary Christmas Sales Associates for its Battersea team during the busy festive season. The ideal candidates will share a passion for food, cooking, and entertaining, enjoy customer engagement, and strive to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and teamwork during one of the company's busiest periods.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer experience through friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
- Welcome customers, understand their needs, and confidently recommend suitable products.
- Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Replenish stock and maintain a well-presented, organised shop floor.
- Support the team with merchandising, displays, and store standards.
- Process purchases, arrange deliveries, and assist with after-sales enquiries.
- Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products, special orders, and online shop items.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, especially during busy periods.
Requirements
- Must be available to work during the Christmas trading period, including weekends leading up to Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Boxing Day.
- Flexibility to work additional shifts during peak trading periods is highly desirable.
- Weekend and bank holiday availability is essential.
- Genuine passion for food, cooking, and entertaining.
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and as part of a team.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Full product and sales training will be provided.
