About the Role
Borough Kitchen is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Temporary Christmas Sales Associates to join our Borough team during the festive season. We are looking for individuals passionate about food, cooking, and entertaining, who enjoy customer engagement and delivering exceptional shopping experiences. This role is crucial during our busiest Christmas trading period, requiring flexibility, reliability, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer experience through friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
- Welcome customers, understand their needs, and confidently recommend suitable products.
- Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Replenish stock and maintain a well-presented shop floor.
- Support the team with merchandising, displays, and store standards.
- Process purchases, arrange deliveries, and assist with after-sales enquiries.
- Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products, special orders, and online shop items.
- Collaborate with colleagues for smooth day-to-day store operations, especially during busy periods.
Requirements
- Must be available to work during the Christmas trading period, including weekends leading up to Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Boxing Day.
- Flexibility to work additional shifts during peak trading periods is highly desirable.
- Weekend and bank holiday availability is essential.
- Genuine passion for food, cooking, and entertaining.
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and as part of a team.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
