About the Role
Zen Educate is seeking a Senior Product Designer to work on meaningful projects at the intersection of service, system, and interface design. This role involves end-to-end product development, from problem framing and design to prototyping and shipping functional products, blurring the lines between design, product, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own problems end-to-end, from discovery through to shipped product.
- Design simple, scalable, and high-quality flows, systems, and interfaces.
- Build a deep understanding of educators, schools, and internal teams.
- Continuously learn through interviews, observation, data, and product usage.
- Shape problems, validate direction, and inform what gets built.
- Test ideas early through prototypes, conversations, and live experiments.
- Prototype and validate ideas quickly using modern tools, including AI-assisted ones.
- Explore interaction, logic, and behavior in real environments.
- Collaborate deeply with engineers and PMs, and contribute to implementation.
- Balance speed versus quality, shipping early and iterating often.
- Synthesize and share learning across the team.
- Mentor other designers and contribute to raising the team's standard.
- Shape the evolution of design at Zen Educate.
Requirements
- Motivated to take ideas beyond design and into real, shipped product experiences.
- Ability to operate in tight loops between customer insight, prototype, shipped product, and learning.
- Willingness to contribute directly to implementation, potentially writing or shaping production code.
- Desire to help shape the evolving design system.
