About the Role
Bayer is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a credible scientific partner to healthcare professionals across a designated U.S. territory. The role is anchored in Molecular Imaging (Cardiac Amyloidosis) while supporting compliant scientific exchange across the multidisciplinary amyloidosis ecosystem. The MSL will build peer-to-peer relationships, generate actionable field insights, advance understanding of systemic and cardiac amyloidosis and its diagnostic pathway, support evidence-generation activities, and contribute to launch related field capability and institutional readiness.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain compliant, high-value scientific relationships with key stakeholders.
- Conduct balanced, peer-to-peer scientific exchange on systemic and cardiac amyloidosis, diagnostic pathways, clinical evidence, and investigational data.
- Deliver scientific presentations and disease-state education to appropriate healthcare professional and institutional audiences.
- Execute a territory engagement plan that prioritizes relationship depth, multidisciplinary institutional reach, and meaningful follow-up.
- Gather, document, and communicate timely, high-quality insights on diagnostic and referral pathways, evidence gaps, educational needs, operational readiness, access themes, and barriers to adoption.
- Convert field observations into clearly framed insights that can inform Medical strategy, educational planning, evidence priorities, launch preparedness, and cross-functional action.
- Map the current diagnostic pathway and key decision points at priority institutions.
- Use approved systems to document engagements, insights, follow-up, and territory-plan progress.
- Advance scientific understanding of systemic and cardiac amyloidosis, including unmet needs associated with underdiagnosis, delayed diagnosis, and complex referral pathways.
- Identify institution-specific educational needs and support approved disease-state initiatives, advisory boards, congress activities, and other Medical Affairs programs.
- Engage stakeholders across cardiology, hematology/oncology, nuclear medicine, and radiology to develop a medically grounded view of patient pathways.
- Support Bayer-sponsored research activities, including investigator and site engagement, site identification, and scientific follow-up.
- Identify and appropriately triage investigator-initiated research concepts and evidence gaps.
- Contribute to assigned evidence-generation, publication, congress, medical-resource, or advisory-board workstreams.
- Develop a medically grounded view of priority-center readiness and identify gaps requiring cross-functional follow-up.
- Route identified readiness gaps to the appropriate accountable function and monitor follow-up.
- Collaborate with Molecular Imaging Specialists and other authorized partners while maintaining clear role boundaries.
- Collaborate effectively with Medical Information, Medical Communications, HEOR/RWE, Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and other cross-functional partners.
- Support internal scientific training on disease state, diagnostic pathways, and clinical evidence.
- Complete required trainings and certifications, use approved materials and systems, escalate compliance questions promptly, and conduct all activities in line with Bayer policies and applicable regulations.

- Working knowledge of the compliance requirements governing scientific exchange in the United States.
- Strong presentation, relationship-building, territory-management, insight-generation, and self-management skills in a remote field role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, residence within the assigned territory near a major airport, and ability to travel 50-70%, including overnight travel and occasional weekends.
