- Organize partner relationships by following up after meetings, tracking commitments and timelines, and keeping leadership informed.
- Represent Blue Rose Research at convenings, briefings, and conferences within the AI and political communities.
- Translate partner conversations into concrete, testable research questions and collaborate with the research team to scope studies.
- Assist leadership in weighing and prioritizing research requests from partners and funders.
- Brief partners and funders on findings in plain language, tailored to the audience.
- Draft memos, briefing materials, and summaries to facilitate the use of research findings.
- Support AI client engagements from initiation through delivery, working with research and technical teams.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and client communication for AI work.
- Lead client briefings and translate findings into practical recommendations on AI policy, politics, and communications.
- Track incoming AI questions and commitments across all stakeholders, ensuring clear ownership and deadlines.
- Review AI-related materials with research and client leads to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Assist leadership in prioritizing requests and leveraging existing research while respecting confidentiality.
- Map the AI safety, policy, and funder landscape to identify opportunities for Blue Rose's research.
- Identify emerging debates and opportunities and flag them for leadership.
- Contribute to shaping Blue Rose's AI research agenda.
Requirements
- Typically 6+ years of professional experience in politics, policy, philanthropy, research, or the tech sector.
- Proven track record of building trust with senior leaders, funders, and organizational partners.
- Ability to explain research findings clearly to both technical and political audiences.
- Comfortable handling sensitive conversations, confidential information, and diverse partner interests.
- Proactive and organized with strong follow-through and the ability to work independently.
- Experience leading client research projects from scoping through delivery.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent requests, tracking commitments, and aligning teams on research priorities.
