About the Role

Lead squads responsible for turning warehouse orders into coordinated work for fleets of robots and equipment across ASRS and AMR products. This involves real-time orchestration and dispatch, traffic control, fleet management, and robot state machines, operating between the planning layer and robot behavior control software.

Responsibilities

  • Own orchestration, dispatch, traffic control, fleet management, and robot state machines end-to-end, from roadmap to production.
  • Define, review, and maintain stable contracts for commands, state, and events with the planning layer and robot behavior control.
  • Prioritize quality by practicing test-driven development, automating testing at all layers, and validating in simulation.
  • Ensure production reliability by making faults, recovery, and degraded modes predictable on live sites.
  • Drive testing, observability, and incident response for production systems.
  • Translate the roadmap and customer deployments into executable plans for squads and ensure predictable releases.
  • Collaborate closely with mechatronics, systems, and field teams.
  • Lead one to two squads, including hiring, coaching, providing feedback, and addressing underperformance.
  • Develop tech leads capable of owning design within their squads.

Requirements

  • A track record of owning delivery of control or execution systems in production (e.g., WCS, WES, MES, SCADA-adjacent systems, robot fleet management).
  • Experience scaling products from 10 to 100 sites, ensuring reliable operation for numerous customers.
  • A controls and execution mindset, including experience with state machines, real-time constraints, failure handling, recovery, and system behavior under load.
  • A quality-first mindset with hands-on experience in test-driven development and automated testing.
  • Proven record of improving team quality standards.
  • Familiarity with ISA-95 (IEC 62264) and experience designing at the MES or WCS layer.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems with real-time equipment control.
  • Experience with formal modeling of enterprise systems (e.g., state machines, process and data models).
  • Experience building systems that handle data and execution at scale.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, aligned with core values and technical credibility.
  • Willingness to coach, provide feedback, and build healthy teams.
  • Exposure to customer sites, including commissioning, field issues, or operations support.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
