About the Role
Praxis Group is seeking an experienced Associate Director with capital markets expertise and a strong understanding of the UK office sector to join their Capital Markets and Portfolio Management team. This senior role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working closely with investors, lenders, and internal teams to drive investment decisions and maximize portfolio returns.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors.
- Support fundraising initiatives, including preparing investor presentations.
- Analyse portfolio performance and communicate key asset management initiatives.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports covering asset performance, business plan progress, risks and opportunities.
- Produce and review market updates covering capital markets and relevant UK property sector activity.
- Develop financial analysis and investment materials to support investor discussions.
- Oversee asset-level cash flow models and provide financial insight.
- Assess leasing strategies, capital expenditure, disposals and other value-enhancement opportunities.
- Identify initiatives to improve asset performance and maximise investor returns.
- Work with finance on portfolio valuations and debt covenant compliance.
- Support debt origination, acquisition financing and refinancing.
- Manage relationships with external lenders.
- Contribute to the growth of the Capital Markets and Portfolio Management function.
- Take ownership of projects and process improvements.
- Support and mentor colleagues.
Requirements
- At least 8 years' experience in real estate capital markets, real estate private equity or a closely related investment environment.
- A strong understanding of UK commercial real estate, particularly the office sector.
- Excellent financial modelling, Excel and analytical skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn financial analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
- Experience in investor relations, fundraising, debt financing or lender management would be beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with investors and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, independent approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Previous leadership, mentoring or team development experience is desirable.
