As a Senior Product Designer on the Vrbo design team, you will shape the entire travel journey, from initial planning to post-stay memories. You will bring Vrbo's refreshed brand to life in the product and transform group coordination into a fun experience. This is a hands-on role for a designer passionate about both high-level concepts and fine details, aiming to impact families and groups globally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design of the Vrbo Trips experience, from opportunity framing and interaction modeling to detailed execution, launch, and iteration.
  • Design for the entire trip lifecycle (planning, pre-arrival, in-stay, and post-stay) to ensure travelers feel informed, included, and in control.
  • Translate Vrbo's brand into distinctive, accessible product experiences, balancing brand expression, usability, and business goals across web and app.
  • Shape strategy through storytelling, collaborating with product, engineering, content, and research teams using prototypes, research insights, analytics, and experimentation.
  • Prototype with AI tools and model outputs to explore AI-enabled experiences for group decision-making, grounding ideas in real traveler needs.
  • Elevate craft across the team through critiques, design reviews, and mentoring, championing accessibility and inclusion in all shipped work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
  • Portfolio showcasing shipped digital products with excellent interaction and visual design, detailing the problem, trade-offs, and impact.
  • Deep expertise in interaction or visual design, with proven skill in complementary areas like prototyping, research, facilitation, information architecture, or content design.
  • Experience designing complex experiences with product and engineering partners, capable of turning ambiguity into clarity and articulating design rationale.
