About the Role
You own the visual system, narrative, and storytelling for Aurelius, capturing the company's mission of building autonomous directed energy systems. You will translate complex engineering and field operations into compelling visual content for audiences worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the visual and narrative system for Aurelius across YouTube, X, and launch content.
- Shoot, edit, and deliver end-to-end video content, from camera capture to final cut.
- Document factory and shop floor operations in Detroit and San Francisco.
- Cover field tests on the company's private range, capturing real footage of lasers engaging drones.
- Create short, punchy, high-cadence content, including founder interviews and ghostwriting.
- Produce long-form product and launch films that define the standard for defense tech content.
- Shape the company's branding and visual identity, making complex engineering appear compelling.
Requirements
- Shipped real YouTube content, including channels, series, or long-form product/factory films owned end-to-end.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant work, including a reel and links.
- Proven success in creating viral or breakthrough content on X or YouTube, with experience in hardware, industrial, auto, aerospace, or defense-adjacent fields.
- Experience setting a visual style and executing the camera work and editing.
- Demonstrated ability to discuss product development with founders.
- Native English speaker.
- U.S. Person status required due to access to export-controlled information.
