About the Role

Responsibilities
- Make service calls to customers and keep them and dispatchers informed of job progress.
- Process paperwork and maintain housekeeping in service truck and at customer property.
- Provide mechanical and electrical repairs of power generation systems.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and recondition diesel, natural gas, and liquid propane engine-driven generator sets.
- Perform scheduled service and troubleshooting tasks on customer generators.
- Take necessary action to prevent or limit failure to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain truck inventory.
- Ensure scheduled service activities are performed correctly and on time.
- Identify potential problems proactively and implement solutions.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and inter-personal communication skills.
- 5+ years of experience as a maintenance and/or service mechanic.
- Experience in performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of power generation equipment and/or diesel engine experience.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
