- Build a unified personalization system that serves multiple surfaces like search, discovery, and CRM.
- Own the taste and intent model as a product, defining its inputs, freshness, coverage, and accessibility.
- Partner with surface teams to design experiments and holdouts to measure personalization's incremental impact on repeat purchase, frequency, and lifetime value.
- Lead technical discussions regarding personalization models, features, pipelines, and architecture.
- Drive adoption of built personalization systems and capabilities across teams.
- Communicate strategy, results, and trade-offs to executives and stakeholders, explaining model behavior to non-technical audiences.

- At least 3 years owning recommendations, ranking, or personalization systems.
- Shipped ML-powered experiences at consumer scale and can explain their incremental business results.
- Experience moving repeat purchase, retention, or frequency in a consumer business.
- Track record of using holdouts and experiments to isolate incremental effects and making decisions based on evidence.
- Working knowledge of recommendation and ranking systems, user modeling, and underlying data infrastructure.
- Ability to balance the needs of multiple product teams and identify opportunities for shared capabilities.
- Strong instincts for user experience in recommendations and understanding of personalization failure modes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
- Comfort with ambiguity, organization, and managing multiple workstreams.
- Experience in live events, ticketing, travel, marketplaces, or similar commerce with time-limited inventory is a plus.
