About the Role
Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. Must comply with all infection control, safety, and cleanliness requirements as mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment.
- Complies with infection control, safety, and cleanliness requirements.
- Demonstrates skill in cleaning and disinfecting various rooms for patient care and treatment.
- Organizes cleaning duties and prioritizes work for efficient completion.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
- Guards the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs a variety of cleaning duties following established procedures.
- Uses judgment, creativity, resourcefulness, and planning to complete work efficiently and overcome obstacles.
- Uses judgment and sensitivity to respond to patients, visitors, and associates.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work.
- Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Ability to guard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
