About the Role
Gen Re is seeking an Underwriter Associate for its Casualty Facultative North America (CFNA) division. This role offers significant authority, productivity, and empowerment early in an employee's career, including intensive training and a mentoring program to manage a book of business.
Responsibilities
- Assess individual risk and related volatility using data research and rating models.
- Understand basic and standardized contracts and policy forms.
- Negotiate the transfer of risk and pricing directly with clients.
- Build lasting relationships with clients through marketing efforts, including client entertainment, industry events, meetings, presentations, and written communication.
- Travel to meet face-to-face with clients.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Possess a positive attitude, accept responsibility and accountability, have technical aptitude, diverse interpersonal skills, ability to lead, and be self-motivated.
