About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Job Estimator to join our custom metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of custom metal fabrication, be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and prepare detailed cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
- Review project requirements and determine the scope of work.
- Calculate material, labor, fabrication, and other associated project costs.
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for custom metal fabrication projects.
- Identify potential discrepancies or missing information in project drawings.
- Work with our team to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements and production capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in metal fabrication estimating or a related field.
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and labor requirements.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
