About the Role
Pharma Medica Research Inc. is seeking a Facility Assistant to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the clinic facility, ensuring all protocols and guidelines are met. This role reports to the Supervisor, Clinic Administration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in study rooms, general areas, staff rooms, bunk bed areas, washrooms, bleeding areas, administrative offices, and interior building spaces.
- Service entire building entrance and exit ways, including emergency exits.
- Perform floor maintenance: sweeping and damp-mopping.
- Maintain carpets: vacuuming and spot cleaning.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Move furniture as needed.
- Remove finger marks and smudges from surfaces.
- Spot clean light switches, walls, and doors.
- Damp-wipe telephones with a germicidal agent.
- Clean and polish glass doors, partitions, and mirrors.
- Disinfect fixtures and sinks in kitchen and washrooms.
- Remove garbage to the designated disposal area.
- Perform general cleaning duties in clinic and office areas, including washrooms.
- Make necessary repairs as requested by the supervisor.
- Place recycling waste in the appropriate area.
- Damp-wipe heaters and ledges.
- Dust low and high reach areas.
- Damp-wipe tables, chairs, desks, and leather sofas.
- Maintain the supply room in an orderly fashion.
- Perform general building maintenance, including repairs and painting.
- Clear snow and provide salt at all doorways during winter weather.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Completion of High School.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written English.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other clinical staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of general repairs.
