About the Role
Soccer Shots Long Island West is seeking an energetic, organized, and people-oriented individual to recruit, hire, and support coaches for their children's soccer enrichment program. Prior HR experience is not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Recruit coaches through colleges, universities, athletic departments, and local networks.
- Review applications, conduct phone screens, and schedule interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding, background checks, and new-hire paperwork.
- Build relationships with coaches, candidates, and college contacts.
- Maintain recruiting records.
- Work with the operations team to keep coaching positions filled.
Requirements
- Must be a former college athlete, coach, assistant coach, or athletic department staff member.
- Experience in youth sports, camps, childcare, recreation, or after-school programs.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable learning new software and systems.
- Reliable transportation is required.
