About the Role
Starburst Apartments is seeking a Make Ready professional to prepare vacant apartments for market-ready status in Austin, TX. This role involves maintaining property appearance and providing excellent resident service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
- Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
- Provide residents with outstanding customer service
- Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris
- Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces
- Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas
- Maintain dumpster and trash areas
- Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
- Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License & Insurance
- Reliable Transportation
- Working knowledge of Drywall & Painting
- Working knowledge of Basic Plumbing & Electrical
- Working knowledge of Appliance & Lock Repair
- Proficient use of basic hand tools, power tools, ladders, and appliance dollies
- Physical Stamina: Expect to be on your feet 70% to 100% of the day, with frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing up to 30-foot ladders.
- Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs unassisted for moving appliances like washers, dryers, and refrigerators.
- On-Call Flexibility: Willingness to work alternating night, weekend, or holiday shifts to handle property emergencies.
