About the Role
Trexquant is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the firm's portfolio process and related software operations, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and reliable execution of the day-to-day book generation process as the firm grows.
Responsibilities
- Design, automate, and maintain the operational infrastructure, controls, and standardized workflows that support a scalable trading business.
- Develop real-time dashboards and monitoring of trading performance, execution quality, operational risk, and system health.
- Continuously strengthen processes to reduce errors and delays, ensure business continuity, and support the firm’s expansion into new markets, strategies, and asset classes.
- Align processes and new initiatives across middle office, trading, execution, research, technology, risk, compliance, and finance.
- Manage technical relationships with administrators, custodians, and other external partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in trading operations, middle office, or related functions at a quantitative hedge fund or systematic proprietary trading firm.
- Experience scaling trading operations across multiple asset classes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of global equity trading, trade lifecycle management, prime brokerage, clearing, and settlement.
- Experience overseeing complex, automated trading environments across multiple markets and asset classes.
- Strong technical skills, including a solid understanding of trading systems, data flows, and operational infrastructure.
- Proven ability to anticipate issues, resolve them quickly, and implement practical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Strong programming and systematic trading infrastructure fluency.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Hands-on leader who takes ownership of ensuring that everything works.
