This role requires strong organization, writing, and project coordination skills, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and care.
Responsibilities

- Help schedule and prepare for kickoff calls, capture response requirements and assignments, and document key matter details, including the anticipated scope and value of the opportunity.
- Conduct company, industry, and competitor research, as well as litigation and docket research using analytics platforms such as Docket Navigator and Lex Machina, to support pitch strategy under the direction of senior team members.
- Draft, format, and proofread pitch content, attorney bios, matter descriptions, and case lists, and conduct quality control to ensure accurate, on-time, client-ready deliverables.
- Maintain and update the practice’s library of stock language, experience, and representative matters.
- Support legal directory and awards submissions, such as Chambers, Legal 500, IAM, and WTR, including gathering matter information, drafting and updating content, coordinating referees, and tracking deadlines.
- Help plan and execute client-facing events, conferences, and sponsorships, including logistics, attendee tracking, and post-event follow-up.
- Track business development activity, pitch volume, and outcomes using CRM, experience management, and other firm tools, and help prepare reporting for practice group leadership.
- Monitor IP law developments, patent, trademark, and copyright trends, and technology and life sciences sector news to help identify opportunities for client outreach and thought leadership.
- Partner with communications colleagues to support announcements, award promotion, and digital and social content.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and expense reporting for practice marketing spend.
- Support BD onboarding and integration of lateral partners and new hires, including bios, experience, and CRM updates.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Sound judgment.
