Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an internal communications strategy aligned with MERGE’s goals and values.
- Manage the rhythm of internal communication, including leadership updates, all-hands meetings, and organizational announcements.
- Oversee and enhance internal channels such as intranet, email, newsletters, and collaboration platforms.
- Lead communications for high-stakes corporate initiatives, developing plans to guide employees through changes.
- Apply change-management frameworks to support employees through digital integrations and structural shifts.
- Coach executives and managers on effective change communication, providing them with necessary resources.
- Handle confidential and time-sensitive announcements with discretion and judgment.
- Collaborate across business units to align internal and external messaging with company goals.
- Write and oversee compelling internal content, including executive messaging, emails, and presentations.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on communication performance using data to refine strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Set clear goals, mentor team members, and model high standards for communication craft and care.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on critical communications.
Requirements
- 5+ years in internal, corporate, or change communications with a proven track record in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Deep expertise in corporate communications and change management (M&A, digital migrations, operating transitions, structural realignments).
- Hands-on experience managing internal channels (intranet, email, newsletters, collaboration platforms).
- Fluency with change-management frameworks and a process for achieving goals and engaging stakeholders.
- Superior writing and editing skills to transform complex information into clear, compelling messages.
- Strong executive presence and ability to coach senior leaders with discretion.
- Data-informed approach to measuring communication effectiveness.
- Curiosity about AI's impact on communications and a drive for modern solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field.
- Work authorization that does not require future sponsorship.
