About the Role
Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6 or 7) for a 3-month contract within the Community Paediatrics Team in Bexley. This role involves supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs through assessment, intervention, and management as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication difficulties in children and young people.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Develop and implement therapy programs in collaboration with families, schools, and other professionals.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and multidisciplinary reviews where required.
- Provide advice, support, and training to parents, carers, and educational staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary community paediatrics team.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience working within paediatric Speech and Language Therapy services.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
- Experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous community paediatric experience is desirable.
