About the Role
You will build the software AI labs use to run their compute, allowing customers to manage multiple clusters as one fleet, gain visibility into GPU usage, and sell idle capacity on a marketplace. This is a new product where you will build its initial versions in collaboration with principal engineers and customer teams. The role involves significant backend development in Go against Kubernetes and Postgres, with a TypeScript console, and requires direct customer interaction and on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Build the first versions of a new product for AI labs to run compute.
- Manage customer clusters from multiple providers under a single login and execution method.
- Provide customers with a unified view of cluster health, usage, spend, and alerts.
- Implement identity and access management solutions across customer clusters.
- Develop functionality for customers to offer idle GPU hours on a marketplace.
- Engage directly with customers to understand problems and define product features.
- Carry a pager and participate in on-call rotations.
- Interact with customers weekly to gather feedback and requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical expertise with significant impact.
- Experience building multi-tenant systems with authorization, organizations, and data separation.
- Proficiency in building against the Kubernetes API.
- Experience building telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, or events.
- Shipped production services in Go or possess the systems background to do so quickly.
- Ability to build front-end components for features.
- Production on-call experience for customer-dependent systems.
