About the Role

Responsibilities
- Handle general ledger functions for assigned programs and affiliates, including bank reconciliation, monthly journal entries, and payroll management.
- Ensure accurate financial statements.
- Prepare claims and fiscal reports for funding sources.
- Communicate effectively with program directors regarding budgets and other financial matters.
- Prepare reconciliation and work papers for auditors.
- Review disbursements and cash receipts.
- Maintain the accounts receivable system.
- Keep communication channels open with outside agencies.
- Serve as backup for various accounting personnel.
Requirements
- Relevant experience should include working in the field of financial accounting in a business, not-for-profit, or governmental environment.
- Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License.
- Registered and Insured Vehicle.
Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to operate office equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
