About the Role
The Day Porter will be responsible for the daily interior cleaning and minor maintenance of the building, ensuring a safe and clean environment. This role requires prompt reporting of any issues and safe operation of equipment and cleaning agents.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily interior cleaning including emptying waste, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, polishing, and mopping floors.
- Handle debris and trash removal, and place mats/runners in inclement weather.
- Clean up spills according to established procedures.
- Assist with minor maintenance and repair work such as painting, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, windows, doors, gates, and simple plumbing repairs.
- Perform minor landscaping and related upkeep.
- Assist with inventory control and supply ordering as needed.
- Promptly notify management of spills, emergency situations, repair needs, and safety concerns.
- Properly and safely use and operate cleaning equipment, tools, devices, and chemical agents.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous.
- Effective listener and team player.
- Understand written or verbal instructions.
- Practice necessary safety protocols and procedures.
- Follows through and carries out work orders.
