About the Role
This is a techno-functional role requiring strong Insurance and Reinsurance domain knowledge. The Business Analyst will understand the underlying system, coordinate with business stakeholders to confirm requirements, and document them in STTM format for Data Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with POs to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and functional specifications.
- Perform source system analysis, data mapping, and create STTM (Source-to-Target Mapping).
- Support data validation and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with other teams as applicable.
Requirements
- Strong Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering skills.
- Good understanding and experience in Insurance and Reinsurance (specialty) knowledge.
- User Story creation for Dev team.
- Source system analysis and data mapping.
- STTM (Source-to-Target Mapping) including Transformation logic & derived measure.
- Ability to interpret lineage & Metadata.
- Conceptual model or Medallion layer understanding (Bronze->Silver->Gold).
- Ability to talk to Business / PO to understand functional specifications and convert that to Data Specifications.
- High analytical skills.
