About the Role
Harris Energy Solutions, LLC (HES) is hiring a Technical Services Manager to support clients across upstate New York, focusing on energy-efficient operations of client facilities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement energy conservation opportunities.
- Facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand.
- Develop cost and payback analyses for identified initiatives.
- Develop detailed technical reports and participate in Client presentations of findings.
- Evaluate and interpret data.
- Participate in meetings with facility service contractors, demonstrating technical capabilities.
- Troubleshoot system operational issues impacting system operation and energy efficiency.
- Utilize effective management and communication skills to deliver results.
- Develop technical reports for effective communication.
- Provide technical operations and maintenance assistance.
- Assist clients in meeting State and Federal energy efficiency program requirements.
- Assist clients in researching applicable utility rebate programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management and/or energy engineering.
- Degree requirement waived with 10 years of technical experience in operations and maintenance of high scale power plant equipment.
- Strong HVAC and/or controls background and experience working on large scale centralized boiler plants, chiller plants and HVAC systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS).
- Capability to perform investigations of Energy Management Control Systems / Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
- Ability to recommend and implement advanced control strategies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills (a recent writing sample is required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work in the St. Lawrence, Syracuse, Marcy, Utica, Binghamton, Elmira, and Albany, NY areas.
- Located within reasonable commuting distance.
- Possess a driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
