About the Role
Sumitomo is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their precision manufacturing team. This full-time role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and other industrial machinery.
Responsibilities
- Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
- Repair CNC machines and/or robotics.
- May occasionally make replacement parts.
- Perform general preventative maintenance of machinery.
- May provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.
Requirements
- Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools.
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
- Ability to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting and work inside of machines.
