About the Role

This role acts as a key client management resource within the Placing Team, supporting placing brokers in the execution, administration, and ongoing maintenance of delegated underwriting arrangements. The primary focus is to enable brokers to deliver an exceptional client experience, ensure seamless operational delivery, and provide hands-on support throughout the full lifecycle of delegated placements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a daily point of contact for placing brokers on all delegated authority matters.
  • Work closely with brokers during the placement and renewal of binders, providing support with documentation, onboarding, and coverholder engagement.
  • Proactively liaise with Clients and TPAs to ensure a smooth operational experience, acting as a “go-to” support contact for non-commercial queries.
  • Support the delivery of client service standards through regular touchpoints, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Assist brokers in the collation and completion of placement documentation, including market presentations, compliance forms, TOBAs, and binder contracts.
  • Track and manage outstanding items (e.g., signatures, contract clauses, approvals) to allow brokers to focus on relationship and market-facing responsibilities.
  • Coordinate internally with compliance, finance, and technical teams to ensure placing brokers have the support and information they need to manage binder portfolios effectively.
  • Assist with new coverholder onboarding including due diligence, system setup, and introduction to processes.
  • Ensure all binder arrangements are managed in line with FCA, Lloyd’s, and internal delegated authority requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date registers of all delegated authority agreements.
  • Ensure all required documentation (TOBAs, contracts, audits, etc.) is logged, reviewed, and followed up appropriately.
  • Assist with audit tracking and data collection.
  • Receive and validate monthly bordereaux (BDX) submissions from Clients.
  • Work with Clients to resolve data issues or discrepancies, ensuring timely submission to relevant systems (e.g., Mrald, IBA etc).
  • Support reconciliation of data against expected underwriting performance or accounting schedules.
  • Flag late submissions or data anomalies proactively and work with relevant parties to correct them.
  • Support the monthly reporting process by preparing BDX summaries or assisting in the analysis of premium and claims data.
  • Assist placing brokers with performance insights to help manage binders, coverholder relationships, and renewal strategy.
  • Help prepare renewal packs and MI for internal and external distribution.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of delegated underwriting arrangements including binder structure, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Lloyd’s and London Market delegated authority processes.
  • Understanding of TOBA agreements, coverholder onboarding, and audit protocols.
  • Familiarity with bordereaux processing systems (e.g., Atlas, internal booking systems).
  • Knowledge of placing support practices and broker-client servicing.
  • Prior experience in an insurance operation, delegated underwriting, broker support, or technical processing role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with BDX data and binder contracts.
  • Exposure to Lloyd’s and/or company market binder business.
  • Experience liaising directly with brokers and external stakeholders such as coverholders or TPAs.
  • Comfortable operating within a regulatory and compliance-focused environment.
