About the Role
We are deploying large-scale NVIDIA GPU clusters into live data centers on tight customer commit dates. This role requires an architect to take high-level designs and turn them into buildable solutions, ensuring customer sign-off.
Responsibilities
- Act as the single design authority for each cluster from CTO handover to customer acceptance.
- Translate high-level designs and BOMs into build-ready low-level designs, hall layouts, rack elevations, P2P maps, and cable schedules.
- Design InfiniBand and Ethernet fabric, power, direct liquid cooling, and containment to fit data center constraints.
- Validate every BOM before procurement and make informed part substitution decisions.
- Hold OEMs and integrators to their technical commitments throughout the process.
- Build reference designs and building blocks for new deployments.
Requirements
- Designed and delivered large-scale GPU or HPC clusters into live data centers, including on-site build experience.
- Deep, practical knowledge of NVIDIA platforms (GB200/GB300 rack-scale and HGX H200/B200) and their facility demands.
- Cluster-scale InfiniBand and Ethernet fabric design experience (topology, rail optimization, oversubscription, cable/optic selection).
- Physical infrastructure design experience (power, redundancy, direct liquid cooling, CDUs, containment, cable lengths).
- Proficiency with part numbers, options, and holding OEMs accountable.
- Factory integration and FAT experience, including holding a dispatch gate (Nice to Have).
- Storage design for AI workloads (WEKA, VAST, DDN, Ceph or similar) (Nice to Have).
- Experience with deployments across multiple geographies and data center operators, including sites requiring fit-out (Nice to Have).
- Neocloud or hyperscale experience on compressed schedules (Nice to Have).
