About the Role

Starling is seeking a Content Designer to craft clear, concise, and consistent messaging for the Starling app, driving customer behavior and maintaining copy quality. This role is crucial in building a product that transforms how people bank.

Responsibilities

Crafting precise, accessible, and on-brand copy for the Starling app, online bank, and customer comms
Explaining complicated concepts clearly
Working closely with product designers, managers, and user researchers to create intuitive and effective customer experiences
Conducting research to inform and review copy decisions
Advocating for the best experience for all users
Exploring solutions that satisfy regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Spotting and solving content design problems, and maintaining consistency
Developing guidance, templates, and frameworks to scale the impact of content design at Starling

Requirements

Experience in UX writing or content design roles, ideally for an app
Ability to demystify complex subjects and write helpful copy
Understanding of how to use data to drive decisions and explain them strategically
Ability to explain word choices and adapt based on research or new information
Comfort asking questions to understand briefs or feedback
Attention to detail for inconsistencies in copy
Enthusiasm for collaboration and curiosity about others' viewpoints
Must provide a cover letter and CV
