About the Role
Campus Auxiliary Services at SUNY Geneseo is seeking an Overnight Cleaner to perform essential cleaning tasks to maintain the sanitary operation of CAS-run facilities. Our mission is to provide services that positively impact campus life and the community.
Responsibilities
- Performs all cleaning tasks necessary to maintain the sanitary operation of CAS run facilities, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, waxing floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing walls and windows, cleaning kitchen and dining equipment, and cleaning grease traps and exhaust hood systems.
- May be responsible for inventorying and ordering cleaning products or equipment.
- May be required to move CAS equipment such as tables, chairs, and other dining equipment.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the NYS health code.
- Responsible for securing the facility at the end of their shift each night.
- May be required to assist in production.
- Other duties may be assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- One year of experience as a Janitor or Day Cleaner.
- Floor care experience is desirable but not required.
- Ability to stand/sit/move for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
