About the Role
Join the maintenance team at a high-security industrial facility in London, ensuring the safety and reliability of the site's electrical systems through planned inspections, testing, fault-finding, and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled routine inspections, servicing, and testing of electrical installations.
- Complete electrical work independently and inspect, test, and certify work within competence and scope, including EICRs and emergency lighting or fire alarm tests where qualified.
- Ensure work complies with site health and safety protocols and BS 7671.
- Identify and fix issues with motors, control panels, three-phase equipment, and other electrical, control, and lighting systems.
- Assist with basic mechanical, HVAC, and general facilities maintenance tasks within knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or a recognized equivalent.
- Completed AM2 or AM2E assessment.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Experience maintaining and fault-finding industrial electrical systems, including three-phase systems, motors, and control panels.
- Ability to inspect, test, and certify electrical work within competence and scope.
- An inspection and testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, is desirable.
- Practical mechanical maintenance skills would also be an advantage.
