About the Role
Seeking a customer-focused Product Engineer with strong full-stack development skills, backend expertise, and a product-oriented mindset to build and launch products for the North American market. This role involves working directly with customers and owning features from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship full-stack product features from idea to production.
- Build backend services and user-facing applications, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering.
- Work directly with collision repair shops, estimators, and parts managers to understand customer needs and workflow challenges.
- Translate customer feedback into product improvements and practical technical solutions.
- Build rapid prototypes and test new product ideas using AI-assisted development tools and Python.
- Help evolve successful prototypes into robust, production-ready software.
- Own product outcomes, adoption metrics, and the customer value delivered by your features.
- Make informed trade-offs between engineering complexity, development speed, and product impact.
- Help users transition from manual workflows to AI-assisted and supervised automation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to build and scale solutions for the North American market.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software.
- Strong full-stack development experience, with backend engineering expertise preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end features, from concept and implementation through deployment and performance evaluation.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to influence what gets built, not simply execute predefined specifications.
- Experience building rapid prototypes using AI-assisted development tools.
- Interest in working directly with customers and solving real-world business problems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Austin, Texas.
