About the Role
This engineer will set the patterns every money-moving system at the company follows, building payroll and bill pay features from scratch for a fast-growing, venture-backed software and payments company.
Responsibilities
- Build payroll and bill pay from the ground up
- Build ledgers, embedded accounts and accounting syncs
- Set the standards for idempotency, retries and reconciliation
- Find root causes when numbers don't match, and fix them for good
Requirements
- 5+ years building production backend systems, ideally TypeScript or Node
- Transaction guarantees: idempotency, retries, atomicity
- Deep PostgreSQL knowledge
- Precision about reconciliation and rounding
