About the Role

Harvey is building a legal transformation practice for the AI era. The Transformation Office helps law firms and legal departments leverage AI to achieve visible business value. As the Transformation Advisory Lead for Strategy & Economics, you will guide senior legal leaders in making critical decisions about AI adoption, competitive positioning, pricing, operating models, and change management. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding senior specialist, shaping the firm's strategy and economics offering and influencing the future of legal services.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on strategy, helping leaders determine how AI impacts their competitive position, practice areas, client focus, and investment priorities.
  • Advise on pricing and value, assisting firms and legal departments in quantifying AI's effect on cost, speed, and value.
  • Advise on operating models, guiding customers in redesigning legal work organization, support, and staffing, including AI's impact on roles.
  • Help leaders build compelling cases for change, working with managing partners, general counsel, and finance leaders.
  • Build the Transformation Office's offering by creating diagnostics, frameworks, and leadership readouts.
  • Contribute expertise to early customer conversations, joining Practice Directors and account teams for specific strategy and economics needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience shaping strategy, pricing, or operating decisions within a law firm, legal operations, external counsel, law firm management, or as Chief of Staff to a General Counsel.
  • Experience in a legal-sector consulting practice is a strong plus.
  • Deep fluency in legal economics, including firm profitability, pricing, fee structures, cost-center dynamics, and outside-counsel spend.
  • Proven track record of advising senior legal leaders through high-stakes decisions.
  • Ability to present effectively to a room including finance professionals.
  • Clear perspective on AI's impact on the business of law, grounded in economic realities.
  • Demonstrated success in building and implementing frameworks or methods adopted by others.
  • Skill in discussing efficiency in a way that fosters change rather than fear of displacement.
  • Enthusiasm for building new initiatives in an evolving landscape.
