About the Role
At ING, data is used to turn information into smarter decisions, simpler processes, and better outcomes for customers and the business. This role involves working across analytics, automation, and emerging AI solutions with tangible business impact, analyzing complex data, building dashboards, automating workflows, and exploring AI use cases.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex customer data and translate findings into practical recommendations supporting operational, customer, and risk decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to clarify questions, desired outcomes, and the right analytical approach.
- Develop reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions to understand customer behavior, operational performance, channel usage, risk signals, and process outcomes.
- Use SQL and SAS to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Support prototyping and development of AI-enabled solutions and emerging AI agents within a banking and financial services context.
- Apply Microsoft Copilot and related AI tools responsibly while balancing innovation with data governance, privacy, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in analytics, data, automation, or digital solution roles, ideally within banking, financial services, or another regulated environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into a clear business context.
- Advanced SQL, SAS, or similar query-language capability for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong Power BI and Tableau experience across data modeling, reporting, visualization, and insight storytelling.
- Strong capabilities around data quality, data governance, data warehousing, and analytical principles.
- Experience using Power Automate and/or Power Apps to develop workflow and process solutions is desirable.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, or equivalent, with the judgment to balance innovation, delivery, risk, and governance.
