About the Role
As Senior Manager, Executive Communications, you will shape high-impact internal communications, turning ideas and priorities into clear messages that help VEGgies stay connected to the company's direction. This role focuses on enhancing the voice of leadership, particularly the President and Co-Founder, to build trust and create intentional executive communication.
Responsibilities
- Own the executive communications calendar, establishing a proactive rhythm for priority leadership moments.
- Draft, shape, and manage the revision process for speeches, presentations, posts, podcast content, talking points, and other executive communications.
- Edit and shape materials owned by other teams requiring chief's approval, voice, or message clarity.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather input, manage timelines, clarify messages, and transition executive communications from reactive to planned.
Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and message development skills, with the ability to transform ideas, executive input, and business context into content.
- Strong voice-capture ability, with the curiosity and judgment to learn a leader’s tone, point of view, instincts, and revision patterns.
- Executive judgment and discretion, including knowing what needs to be escalated, what can be solved independently, and how to handle sensitive leadership content.
- Comfort building through ambiguity, including creating communications calendars, intake flows, review rhythms, content standards, and planning habits.
- A low-ego approach to feedback and iteration, with the ability to take edits and guidance constructively.
- Experience in communications, content strategy, internal communications, editorial, speechwriting, leadership content development, or a related area.
- Executive communications experience is helpful, but not required.
