About the Role

CVS-Aetna is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join an Agile Product Team, focusing on building high-quality, usable products for the Claims organization. This role involves educating stakeholders on agile development, creating products from discovery to delivery, and maintaining a user-centered approach. A strong understanding of software development principles and agile methodologies is essential, with the ability to develop both frontend and backend code.

Responsibilities

Build high-quality, usable products for customers and stakeholders in the Claims organization.
Educate business and technology personnel on the agile development process.
Create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery.
Maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.
Develop both frontend and backend code utilizing industry best practices.
Deliver efficient, optimized, user-friendly, and reusable code.
Build software applications for high volume enterprise ecosystem.
Develop Test Automation as part of the SDLC.
Adopt AI as part of the Software development and delivery.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications.
5+ years of experience as a full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices, FAST API and spring boot framework/REST.
4+ years of experience working with Cloud Technologies such as; AWS, GCP, Azure and able to develop applications in those technologies.
3+ years of experience with relational databases such as AWS RDS or AWS Aurora and exposure to no-sql databases such as MongoDB.
3+ years of hands-on experience in building CI-CD deployment pipelines in Github Actions.
Ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes with design and development.
3+ years of experience in Agile development practices.
Experience in building software applications for high volume enterprise ecosystem.
Experience in working with Cloud platform based development and Cloud native services preferably in AWS.
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
Adept at building Developing Test Automation as part of the SDLC.
Adept at ownership, collaboration and teamwork.
Ability to adopt AI as part of the Software development and delivery.
Adept at problem solving and decision making skills.
Growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.
