About the Role
Callidus Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on Building Services to join one of our three offices in London, Kitchener, or Kingston. We offer a diverse and flexible workplace where you can build a career.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical design and drafting.
- Set up drawings and backgrounds.
- Draft mark-ups provided by senior staff.
- Conduct heat transfer calculations.
- Perform heating and cooling equipment sizing.
- Size pipes for domestic water and sanitary drain systems.
- Size duct systems for air distribution.
- Layout fire protection systems.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and sales representatives.
- Prepare project documentation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct field reviews and construction administration.
- Interact with installing trades during construction.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Pro-active approach to work assignments and opportunities.
- Ability to multi-task and be organized, especially under the stress of deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Desire to work within a team environment and work across multiple offices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
