About the Role
The Greet Crew ensures every guest has an awesome experience by being hospitable, assisting with movie ticket purchases, questions, introducing films, and assisting guests with any needs they may have. They are guest-focused, flexible, knowledgeable about movies, and care about the overall Alamo guest experience. They share the excitement of our specialty programming with our guests and help keep our facilities in world-class condition. The Greeter is a guest-facing representative of Alamo Drafthouse and is responsible for upholding our Core Values at all times.
Responsibilities
- Greeting, assisting, educating, and/or ushering guests throughout their experience, including ticketing needs, point-of-sale assistance, and exit greets
- Conducting quality food checks and delivering food/beverage orders to the correct seats
- Maintaining knowledge of the Alamo menu and common allergens
- Responsible for safe alcohol service, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption
- Maintaining knowledge of Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Acting as first responder for guest complaints and disruptions, resolving issues while balancing brand standards with a positive guest experience
- Communicating urgent issues or unusual matters of significance to managers and taking prompt corrective action
- Maintaining a cheerful, courteous disposition with guests and teammates, and communicating efficiently with staff and guests
- Checking guest tickets to ensure they are in the correct seat
- Theater, lobby, and restroom cleaning, as well as opening and closing duties
- Anticipating guest needs and monitoring notifications for guest requests
- Anticipating and maintaining appropriate stocking levels of necessary supplies
- Acting as Brand ambassador for Loyalty and Subscription programs
- Acting as a full guest-facing liaison in the event of a technology glitch or for private event execution or other business reasons
- Exhibiting a full understanding and proper administration of ADA standards, including service animal regulations, wheelchair accessible seating, and assistive devices
- Completing tasks with efficiency and a sense of urgency
- Demonstrating strong teamwork skills
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 days a week, at least one day being a weekend)
- Ability to move with caution and work collaboratively in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment
- Ability to bend, duck, crouch, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates/trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly during entire shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting
- Staying up-to-date on all local food/beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and assigned online trainings
