About the Role
This is a revenue-ownership role focused on expanding Genspark's B2B motion in the APJ region. You will build the commercial machinery for partner-sourced revenue, focusing on Microsoft and resellers/SIs in Japan and the wider APJ region.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day relationship with Microsoft Japan and Microsoft ASEAN field teams, including account mapping, co-sell motions, joint pipeline reviews, and customer-focused community events.
- Build the joint account plan, including a named, prioritized account list agreed upon with Microsoft sellers.
- Convert Microsoft committed-spend budget into Genspark's pipeline by identifying customers that can fund Genspark and working the deal with the Microsoft account team.
- Own Microsoft-side funding asks (co-op/MDF, marketplace incentives) end-to-end, including required reporting.
- Recruit, sign, and activate resellers, distributors, and systems integrators across APJ, starting with Japan and then Korea.
- Convert existing marquee Japanese relationships into quota-bearing resale, including agreed targets, named account coverage, and securing a first deal within 60 days of signing.
- Build partner pipeline and carry a quota for partner-sourced revenue.
- Run the partner activation motion, including onboarding, certification, first-deal support, and quarterly business reviews.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in channel, partner, or sales roles at a software, cloud, or AI vendor, with at least 3 of those years in Japan.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
- A real, current network within Microsoft Japan and among Japanese SIs, resellers, or distributors.
- A track record of carrying a partner-sourced pipeline or revenue quota.
- Experience taking a partner from signing to their first closed deal.
- Comfort with ambiguity and proposing new processes.
- Experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (co-sell, Marketplace, or Azure consumption-based commercial model) is a plus.
- Background at a systems integrator or distributor is a plus.
- Exposure to AI, agent, or productivity software categories is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% across APJ.
