About the Role
As a Product Designer at 7shifts, you will build solutions that restaurants need. You will own the full design process, from understanding operator needs to shipping and iterating on designs. You will collaborate with your squad (PM, EM, and engineers) to transform real problems into shipped experiences that improve restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Research by talking to operators, managers, and teams to identify cost-driving issues and guide design decisions.
- Prototype quickly and test ideas with customers early to validate concepts.
- Own the design process, defining the user experience and partnering with Product and Engineers through implementation.
- Develop deep expertise in your product area to identify opportunities and customer needs.
- Utilize AI across the design process, including research synthesis, concept generation, and pattern refinement.
- Contribute to the design system by sharing patterns and learnings.
- Participate in design reviews, share workflows, and elevate the team's skills through critique.
- Ship frequently, balancing speed with quality to deliver impactful customer experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a product designer on cross-functional teams, preferably in SaaS.
- Demonstrated experience in shipping products, with a holistic approach to research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iteration.
- Active use of AI in your workflow, with the ability to explain its impact on your process.
- Proficiency in moving from sketches to high-fidelity designs in Figma and Claude.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and receive feedback.
- A portfolio showcasing your thinking process, problem-solving approach, and outcomes.
