About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Litera’s Firm Intelligence Platform. This foundational layer transforms law firm data into actionable intelligence for Litera’s products and customers. You will partner with Engineering, Architecture, and cross-functional leaders to define platform architecture, make critical build-versus-buy decisions, and apply an AI-first approach to designing services. This is a zero-to-one opportunity with high visibility, directly shaping Litera’s next generation of products.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the Firm Intelligence Platform, driving adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes.
- Define platform architecture requirements with Engineering and Architecture, including data models, ingestion patterns, APIs, extensibility, security, and scalability.
- Apply an AI-first approach to determine where AI capabilities and MCP services deliver the most value.
- Engage directly with law firm leaders, practitioners, and IT stakeholders to understand data and intelligence usage.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear personas, use cases, and prioritized requirements.
- Make and document build-versus-buy, sequencing, and trade-off decisions balancing near-term customer value with long-term platform health.
- Define success metrics, instrument the platform for adoption and performance, and use data to adjust priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on positioning, packaging, and launch, providing clear narratives for technical and executive audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including at least 3 years owning platform, data, or infrastructure products.
- Proven experience building platform products and defining platform architecture (e.g., data platforms, API/integration layers, shared services).
- Working knowledge of AI and generative AI (LLMs, retrieval, agents), including practical trade-offs in quality, cost, latency, and trust.
- Strong technical fluency with engineers and architects on data modeling, APIs, cloud-native and service-oriented architectures, and security/multi-tenancy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence, without direct authority.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML products or defining MCP servers and tools in production.
- Experience in legal technology, professional services, or enterprise environments with complex, document-heavy, data-heavy workflows.
- Background as a software engineer, data engineer, or solutions architect, with a track record of taking products from zero to one.
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
