About the Role
NoMo SoHo is seeking a Security Manager to perform protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment. This role involves responding to emergencies, managing security risks, and ensuring the welfare of guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, train on, and update security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct monthly safety committee meetings.
- Perform foot patrols to observe and identify potential security and safety risks.
- Communicate verbally using pager and two-way radio.
- Maintain order, assist guests with issues, and coordinate emergency responses.
- Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy.
- Observe for suspicious persons and conduct walk-through observations of the hotel.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Implement random bag check procedures.
- Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls and respond promptly.
- Monitor security monitors for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior or alarms.
- Partner with Housekeeping to manage Lost & Found operations.
- Memorize and monitor life safety systems, building layout, and safety equipment locations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of prior proven experience in hotel or hospitality security management in the NYC market.
- Fire, Life and Safety certified.
- CPR certified.
- Strong knowledge of security laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for the industry and providing quality service.
- Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
